2. What is the Founders Drop?

The Prize Guild Founders Drop is a completely free promotional prize draw.

No purchase or payment is required to enter.

The specific prize, opening date, closing date and any other significant promotion information will be displayed on the Founders Drop page before entry.

These Rules apply together with the Prize Guild Terms of Use and Privacy Notice.

3. Eligibility

To enter the Founders Drop, you must:

  • be aged 18 or over;
  • be resident in the United Kingdom;
  • have a registered Prize Guild account;
  • have verified the email address associated with that account;
  • have completed the authenticated Prize Guild age and UK-residency declarations;
  • have accepted the current applicable Prize Guild Terms of Use;
  • have accepted the current version of these Founders Drop Rules; and
  • comply with these Rules.

The Prize Guild Privacy Notice explains how personal data is used. It is provided for transparency and is not itself a general consent to processing or marketing.

Employees, directors and contractors materially involved in administering the Founders Drop, and members of their immediate household, are not eligible to enter.

Prize Guild may request reasonable evidence of eligibility where necessary.

4. How to enter

Entry is completely free.

Each eligible person may submit a maximum of one Founders Drop entry through their qualifying registered Prize Guild account.

The entry must be successfully completed through the Founders Drop entry process during the advertised opening period.

No payment is required.

No social-media share, tag, follow or other promotional action is required as a condition of entry unless the Rules are formally updated before the promotion opens in accordance with applicable law.

Entries received after the advertised closing time will not be accepted.

5. Founder status and numbers

A person becomes a Prize Guild Founder only after all required Founder qualification conditions have been successfully completed, including a valid Founders Drop entry.

A successful qualifying member will receive:

  • one Founders Drop competition entry; and
  • one permanent Founder number.

The Founder number and competition entry number are separate identifiers.

Founder numbers are intended to be allocated sequentially through Prize Guild's trusted systems.

Founder numbers are personal, permanent, non-transferable and have no cash value.

A Founder number will not be reused for another member.

Founder status may provide a badge, community recognition and other benefits expressly advertised by Prize Guild from time to time.

Founder status does not guarantee unspecified lifetime financial benefits, discounts, free entries, prizes or other benefits.

6. The prize

The exact Founders Drop prize will be identified on the Founders Drop page before entry opens.

Unless the Founders Drop page expressly states otherwise:

  • there is no cash alternative;
  • the prize is non-transferable; and
  • ordinary UK delivery of the prize will be provided without charge to the winner.

Prize Guild will award the advertised prize.

If circumstances genuinely outside Prize Guild's reasonable control make the advertised prize impossible to supply, Prize Guild may provide a reasonable equivalent of at least comparable value where permitted.

Prize Guild will not substitute or reduce the prize merely because the promotion attracts fewer entries than expected.

Prize Guild will normally provide or arrange delivery of the prize within 30 days of the winner being confirmed unless a later date is clearly stated before entry or reasonably necessary due to circumstances outside Prize Guild's control.

7. Winner selection

After the advertised closing time, one winner will be selected from the valid Founders Drop entries.

The winner will be selected using a verifiably random computer process.

Prize Guild will retain appropriate evidence of the winner-selection process.

Founder numbers do not affect the probability of winning.

Only valid competition entries are included in the draw.

8. Winner notification

Prize Guild will contact the potential winner using the email address associated with the winning Prize Guild account.

Prize Guild will make reasonable efforts to contact the winner and will make more than one contact attempt where appropriate.

Unless the Founders Drop page clearly states another period before entry, the potential winner should respond within 14 days of the initial winner notification.

If the potential winner does not respond within that period, Prize Guild may make further reasonable contact attempts.

If the winner cannot be contacted or the prize remains unclaimed after reasonable efforts, Prize Guild may select an alternative winner using the same verifiably random method from the remaining valid entries.

9. Winner verification

Before confirming the prize, Prize Guild may verify that the potential winner:

  • was aged 18 or over;
  • was resident in the United Kingdom;
  • held the qualifying account;
  • had a verified email address;
  • completed the required eligibility declarations;
  • had accepted the required current Terms and Founders Drop Rules;
  • submitted no more than the permitted number of Founders Drop entries; and
  • did not obtain the entry through fraud, automation, duplicate accounts, manipulation or another material breach of these Rules.

Prize Guild will request only information reasonably necessary for verification.

A prize will not be withheld arbitrarily where the winner satisfied the published qualifying criteria.

10. Winner information

Prize Guild may publish or make available limited information sufficient to indicate that a valid prize award took place, ordinarily a winner's surname and county where applicable.

A winner may object to or request a reduction in publication of this information.

Prize Guild may still provide relevant information to the Advertising Standards Authority or another competent authority if required to demonstrate that a valid award took place.

Winning does not require the winner to participate in publicity, photographs, videos or promotional content unless they separately agree to do so.

11. Invalid entries and disqualification

Prize Guild may reject or disqualify entries reasonably believed to involve:

  • duplicate accounts used to obtain additional entries;
  • more than one entry by the same eligible person;
  • bots, scripts or automated entry methods;
  • fraud or deliberate manipulation;
  • materially false eligibility information;
  • impersonation;
  • interference with Prize Guild systems;
  • deliberate exploitation of a technical fault; or
  • a material breach of these Rules.

Prize Guild will not arbitrarily disqualify a valid entrant.

12. Technical problems

If a technical issue affects the Founders Drop, Prize Guild will take reasonable steps to preserve valid entries and maintain a fair promotion.

If an entry is confirmed by Prize Guild's trusted systems, a browser display or temporary technical error will not by itself invalidate that entry.

Prize Guild will communicate material technical issues where reasonably necessary.

13. Changes, suspension or cancellation

Prize Guild will not extend the closing date or materially change the Founders Drop merely because participation is lower than expected.

If exceptional circumstances outside Prize Guild's reasonable control make a change, suspension or cancellation genuinely necessary, Prize Guild will act proportionately, document the reason and communicate the position appropriately.

Any change will be made in a way intended to avoid unfair disadvantage to people who have already entered, so far as reasonably possible and permitted by law.

14. Personal data

Prize Guild will handle personal data associated with the Founders Drop in accordance with the Prize Guild Privacy Notice.

Personal data may be used to:

  • administer entries;
  • verify eligibility;
  • prevent duplicate or fraudulent participation;
  • conduct and evidence the draw;
  • identify and contact the winner;
  • fulfil the prize; and
  • demonstrate that a valid prize was awarded.

15. General

Prize Guild's decisions concerning administration of the Founders Drop are final where reasonably required to operate the promotion, subject always to applicable law and participants' statutory rights.

Nothing in these Rules excludes liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply so far as legally possible.

16. Governing law

These Rules are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Participants elsewhere in the United Kingdom retain any mandatory consumer protections and rights available to them under applicable law.
